What difficult decisions remain for the Washington Commanders during an eventful 2023 off-season period for the organization so far?

It’s been a methodical offseason for the Washington Commanders so far. Something that is unlikely to change under Ron Rivera, who prides himself on a more traditional way of thinking that’s proven to bring success throughout NFL history.

One or two big splashes were made. Most notably, convincing Eric Bieniemy to leave the Kansas City Chiefs for more influence, full control of an offense, and finally putting the final touches on his future head coaching credentials.

More might be needed to remain competitive within the NFC East. But there is a quiet sense of optimism surrounding the Commanders, who could be embarking on an exciting new era once ownership changes hands as expected.

With that being said, here are three difficult remaining decisions for the Commanders during the 2023 offseason.

Who will the Commanders pick at No. 16?

Nothing is seemingly off the table at No. 16 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft. While the Washington Commanders have a few glaring needs, head coach Ron Rivera recently stated that he is eager for the team to take the best prospect available regardless of need.

Considering there is next to no money available for veteran additions currently, they have to nail their first-round selection this year. Anything less could throw a significant wrench into Washington’s chances of mounting a postseason challenge.
