The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service is warning of the possibility of "very difficult travel conditions'' in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle from Thanksgiving Day into Saturday.
You can access the latest Wyoming road and travel report from WYDOT here.
There is good news in the latest update for Laramie residents, who may miss the worst of the storm.
The agency posted the following on its website late Wednesday afternoon:
Hot of the press! Here are some updates in regards to the winter weather expected over the next few days! Many of the Winter Storm Watches that were in place have been upgraded to Winter Storm Warnings. Most locations in a Winter Storm Warning could see 4 to 8 inches of snow, but some locations could see up to a foot! Winter Weather Advisories have also been issued for the far southern Nebraska panhandle where 3 to 6 inches of snow is expected. Similar totals are expected in southeast Carbon County and Shirley Basin where Advisories are also in effect. 5 to 10 inches of snow are expected on the eastern side of the Snowy Range. Valley locations such as Saratoga and Laramie will likely not see major accumulations, with amounts below 3 inches. Winter Storm Warnings will be in effect late Thursday morning through early Saturday morning. Travel could be very difficult so please refer to wyoroad.info and dot.nebraska.gov for road impacts. Please refer to weather.gov/cys for more details on the Winter Storm Warnings and for the latest forecast.
