Every episode of "Impractical Jokers" has a final challenge of sorts. Basically, whoever loses the most challenges preceding the last act has to go forward with a "punishment." This is typically a far more advanced prank with the losing joker doing something extra humiliating in front of the public. In an interview with People, the jokers, minus Gatto, spoke about what fans can expect going into the remainder of Season 9. One of the most intriguing bits of information was regarding the final punishment for Eric André's episode.
Vulcano explained, "The punishment on the first one is a huge one. I think there were something like 40 to 50 people involved in it." That's already an immense undertaking, far exceeding what most final punishments entail, but he went on to say, "It's really out there. It was insanely difficult to do. Just out of the gate, I'm excited for [fans] to see the first one back. It'll set the tone, hopefully."
If they have something that remarkable for the first episode right off the bat, it's indeed exciting to think of what the guys have cooked up next.
