Goran Dragic wasn’t with the Brooklyn Nets for very long, appearing in 16 regular-season games and then four playoff games as they got swept away by the Boston Celtics. However, Dragic was there long enough to see all the problems that made life “difficult” for the Nets in 2021-22.
After the Celtics put the finishing touches on the first-round sweep, Dragic hinted at just how much adversity Brooklyn had to deal with:
Goran Dragic on his time in Brooklyn: "Every day there was something different, something difficult." Said he hasn't thought about his free agency situation.

There was certainly plenty of drama surrounding the Nets this season. Kyrie Irving’s refusal to get the COVID-19 vaccine made him a part-time player for a good chunk of the campaign. Kevin Durant’s knee injury knocked him out for a while. James Harden forced his way off the team after struggling to start the season. Ben Simmons didn’t play a single game after the trade because of a back problem. Joe Harris only played 14 games because of ankle surgery. And on and on it went for these Brooklyn Nets.
Dragic signed with the Nets in late February after the trade deadline. He struggled in the regular season but looked better in the playoffs, though it was to no avail. At 35 years old, the Slovenian guard will hit free agency again. It’s unclear if he will return to the Nets after everything that happened with them this season.
