The Eagles are monitoring DeSean Jackson’s reps this summer but Carson Wentz says he isn’t concerned about their on-field chemistry.

The pair played just one full game together last season before Jackson was put on the shelf with a lingering core muscle injury. However, in that one game, the duo showed how effective they could be together as a duo.
The quarterback and wide receiver connected for eight completions for 154 yards and two touchdowns in the season-opening 32-27 win over Washington.
Wentz believes he and Jackson can quickly regain their chemistry because of how often the wide receiver gets open with his game-changing speed.
“The thing about DeSean is he makes it easy for me,” Wentz said Sunday. “When you create the amount of separation that he does, he makes it easy.”
Jackson is likely to be the Eagles’ No. 1 wide receiver in Week 1. With Alshon Jeffery (foot) likely to start the season on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list, and first-round pick, Jalen Reagor, still adjusting to the NFL game, Jackson is the wide receiver’s group only true proven weapon.
While Reagor, Greg Ward, John Higtower and Quez Watkins will contribute, the connection between Wentz and Jackson will be essential for the offense this season, especially early on in the campaign.
“I feel really good (about) being on the same page as him,” Wentz said. “Even last year, when he was hurt for a while, we were always talking to each other … So, I feel like when we do get the reps out there, we’re right on cue, and I really like seeing where he’s at.”
Wentz isn’t just concerned about the duo’s chemistry on the field. The pair of playmakers have become close off the field as well.
That comfort and trust should help them progress in the second year of their partnership. The key for both players will be to stay healthy this year.
“D-Jax looks great,” Wentz said. “I feel great with him personally, on the field and off the field, so I’m excited to hopefully get a full 16 games out of each other this season.”
