Charles Leclerc has criticised those who only take notice of poor performances after a testing seventh-place finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Monégasque was sixth on the road but dropped back behind Mercedes driver George Russell after picking up a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane at his second pit stop.
It was another disappointing day for Ferrari, which finished behind both Red Bulls, both McLarens and both Mercedes'.
The Scuderia was again indecisive with strategy with both drivers on different strategies, whilst an apparent wheel gun failure cost Leclerc a 9.4-second pit stop early on.
"The pit stop was slow and then I had a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit lane," Leclerc told media including RacingNews365.
"So yeah, it was difficult and honestly it is frustrating because I felt with the pace we had, even when as a driver when you feel like you are doing a good job with the car you have, nobody really notices it and when you do a bad job, everyone notices it.
"It is difficult but in the end, it is a part of the game."
Whilst Ferrari's result reduced the deficit to third-placed Aston Martin in the Constructors' standings, McLaren's recent performances since a major upgrade package has seen the Woking-based outfit move to within 80 points of the Scuderia.
"I feel like the result is much worse than what it felt like," Leclerc added.
"The first stint felt really good and then the low stop put us on the back foot behind Lance [Stroll, Aston Martin driver].
"Had to push a lot and then we were behind Carlos and lost a bit of time there, then in the third stint I had to push again there.
"The car felt ok, so I feel like the result is worse than it actually is, but compared to Lando [Norris], we are still behind."
