Call of Duty: Warzone players have heard a lot about the "easy/bot lobby glitch" over the past few days, largely thanks to a video from Call of Duty content maker Drift0r that has racked up well over 100,000 views in just two days.
The short version of the story is that Drift0r claimed there was a glitch within the current build of Warzone that allowed players to manipulate the game's skill-based matchmaking system to get lobbies filled with bots and very low-level human players. In their video, they said the flaw had been reported to Activision and that they would not disclose the steps of the glitch in an effort to maintain the competitive integrity of the game.
Naturally, the failure to disclose sent the Warzone community on a wild goose chase to discover precisely how this easy lobby glitch could be performed. After all, who doesn't want to dominate a few rounds of Warzone while picking up some easy levels? For those who struggle to compete in traditional public servers, the glitch might be a pathway to easy unlocks or a more enjoyable gameplay experience overall. But, because Drift0r wasn't talking, nobody knew how the glitch was done... until now.
The tutorial arrives via a clip from Rara on YouTube. In the 15-minute explainer, the content creator goes on a long-winded rant about the evils of skill-based matchmaking and turns most of his ire toward Hydro, a fellow content creator who has put up a series of record-setting Warzone performances over the past few months. While many have suggested that Hydro might be one of the best players in the game today, Rara has accused them of using said lobby glitch to "reverse boost" their stats.
Leveraging a site called SBMM Warzone to display the data of Hydro's recent lobbies, Rara discovered some rather suspicious patterns in the numbers. Perhaps most crucially, many of the lobbies Hydro played in had KD ratios hovering around 0.6 or 0.7 with the top 10 percent of players in the lobby resting at a rather poor 1.0. They also noticed most of those lobbies were Duos queue as well, even though Hydro's Warzone clips never featured an active Duos partner. Simply put, it became clear in the eyes of Rara that this supposedly skilled Warzone phenom was playing in too many consecutive easy lobbies for it to be purely coincidental.
While we'll leave the full explanation of the glitch for you to watch in Rara's video above, what we'll say is that it involves having two accounts playing at the same time: one you use as your main account, and the other is a dummy account made for the sole purpose of doing nothing. Manipulate the two accounts correctly, and you'll wind up in the easiest possible lobby for any given time.
To make the story even more interesting, Drift0r has since chimed in on Twitter to say Rara's version of the glitch isn't even the same one they initially reported on. In other words, there are apparently multiple ways to get this easy lobby glitch to work in your favor. As with any glitch, however, it remains to be seen how, or if, Activision might punish or ban those taking advantage of any version of the flaw. We imagine it might be patched via the mid-season update on January 14, but there's still one week to reap the rewards of easy lobbies until then.
Unfortunately @raratoman did not find the same cheat that I did. His may indeed work but to method that I reported will work for whole squads w/ no need to join over accounts, back out, or so anything noticable.

For Rara's part, they personally don't see that much of a problem with the current easy lobby glitch, as long as it's leveraged purely for private use and not featured in tournaments. For those who do use it publicly, they think a simple disclosure would suffice. Others in the community may have different opinions, however.
