To the editor:
Just commenting on handicapped parking in Midland. You likely have not tried to park in a handicapped spot. They are mostly at a corner at a stop sign or stop light. You can signal that you want to use a spot as you approach it, but if there is a car parked in the adjacent spot you have to back in to a very tight spot bound by no parking signs in front, a parked car in the adjacent spot and an anxious driver right on your tail who has either no thoughts of backing up to let you back in or can’t because of traffic behind them. You likely will drive on to find a more accessible stop or drive father away to find a parkable space.
It's just not planned well.
