Using the same analogy as the letter, I wonder if, after 38 years at the same hospital, taking into consideration wage and benefit increases (and picket lines in front of the hospital), are those increases directly related to why health premiums have risen 22% in five years? Or why the cost of health care in general has risen 25% in the same time?
One might question how much a snowplow operator is worth. That might depend on how urgent someone or a family member needs to get to the hospital during a snowstorm.
