NUTLEY, NJ - The Executive Board of Nutley Family Service Bureau (NFSB) formally announced the impending departure of Executive Director Eileen Painter. Painter will be moving into a new role elsewhere in the region to continue to serve people in need.
Painter has led NFSB since 2016. The board cited her tenure as "distinguished by outstanding stewardship and dynamic implementation of organization-wide transformations." Among the developments at NFSB, sale of the "old Thrift Shop" at 170 Chestnut St., remodeling and expansion of the NFSB Annex at 169 Chestnut St, increasing space for free group therapy, and an expansion of the Thrift Shop. The board stated "Through it all, Eileen infused the very many whom she served and led with the positivity of a “can do” spirit that will remain her legacy."
At this time, the board of trustees of NFSB is conducting a search for a new director.
The board was quick to stress that the day-to-day operations of NFSB will continue uninterrupted.
