The city of Wenatchee approved allocating $150,000 for the relocation of an Easy Street sewer. Washington State Department of Transportation will be replacing the existing signal at US 2/97 and Easy Street with a roundabout in 2022.
“We have a permitted sewer crossing at that intersection. That roundabout footprint will expand significantly beyond what the signal footprint is currently. So we have a manhole that needs to be relocated and about 150 feet of sewer pipe that will be replaced,” said Jacob Huylar, engineering services manager.
WSDOT agreed to include the sewer relocation work in the contract with the city. The $150,000 funding will come from the city’s sewer fund.
