Lee-Montgomery set the tone early in Thursday night’s 33-6 win over Park Crossing at Cramton Bowl.
From scoring on their first possession of the game to forcing a turnover on Park Crossing’s third offensive play of the game, the Generals were in control from the start.
The Generals carried a 13-0 lead into halftime and put the game away with three second-half touchdowns. Brian Thomas finished with three touchdowns for Lee, scoring twice on 6-yard runs and once on a 2-yard run.
Jakel Williams scored on a 1-yard run and Bryson McGrew connected with Jerald Bonner on an 11-yard touchdown pass.
Park Crossing scored on a 90-yard kickoff return by Solomon Beebe in the third quarter.
Star of the game: Brian Thomas. In addition to scoring three touchdowns, Thomas rushed for 116 yards on 17 carries. His 47-yard run on Lee’s third play from scrimmage set up the Generals’ first touchdown.
Stat sheet: Lee – Jakel Williams completed 11-of-15 passes for 142 yards with a touchdown and an interception. Christopher Dillihay had seven receptions for 80 yards. DeMarion Nelson picked off two passes and Julius Owens made one interception. Park Crossing – Lee Beebe had seven carries for 48 yards. Brandon Wilson made one interception and Cameron Williams recovered one fumble.
By the numbers: 394 – yards of offense for Lee-Montgomery, 266 of which came in the first half … 62 – yards of offense allowed by the Lee defense, including two yards in the second quarter and five yards in the third quarter. 5 – wins for the Generals in six meetings with Park Crossing
What’s next? Lee (5-2, 4-2 Class 6A, Region 2) plays at Valley on Oct. 22. Park Crossing (0-8, 0-6 Class 6A, Region 2) hosts Opelika on Oct. 22.

Parker 63, Cordova 13
Parker improved to 7-1 on the year, 5-1 in Class 5A, Region 5 play with the rout of the Blue Devils (3-5, 1-5).
Khalifa Keith ran for 202 yards on just eight carries with three touchdowns in the win. Warren Minnifield had 12 carries for 93 yards and a pair of TDs.
William Shelton completed 6-of-8 passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns – both to Carl Pitts. Pitts two catches were his only receptions on the night and were good for 72 yards.
The Thundering Herd plays at Carver-Birmingham next week in its last region game of the season and plays at Mortimer Jordan on Oct. 28 to end the regular season. Cordova closes out region play next Friday at Fairfield.
