Roma defender Diego Llorente described how the team managed to keep their focus on Hellas Verona after a turbulent week that included the dismissal of Jose Mourinho.
In his post-match reaction after Roma’s 2-1 win over Verona, Llorente told DAZN, “This has been a difficult week for everyone.”
“But, we are professionals, we have adapted to this change, and the coach came with a lot of desire and many ideas. Now it’s up to us to adapt.”
“The important thing was to win and we did our job tonight,” Llorente added.
“Playing with four at the back is different, but we’ve all already played this way at least once. What matters above all, however, is the interpretation on our part.”
