CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Baker Mayfield was in fourth grade when Aaron Rodgers was drafted into the NFL, then in middle school when Rodgers took over as the starting quarterback of the Green Bay Packers. While Mayfield has ready comparisons in his 2018 draft class in Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson, two quarterbacks who have won more and can do more, it was Mayfield’s first matchup with Rodgers on Saturday that provided the contrast that Mayfield wants to avoid.
Playing quarterback is hard. Rodgers makes it look easy, and Mayfield makes it look difficult.
